Aftercare Instructions

  • Keep the applied bandage on the tattoo for approximately two hours after leaving the tattoo studio.

  • After two hours, carefully remove and discard the bandage. If the bandage is adhered to your skin or difficult to remove, run cool water over it allowing the water to penetrate and free it. â€‹â€‹

  • DO NOT REAPPLY SOILED BANDAGE**

  • With clean hands, wash the entire area thoroughly using fragrance free soap. Remove all excess blood, lotion, and/or plasma that may have weeped from your tattoo. Using a clean paper towel, dab the area dry (DO NOT RUB), then allow air exposure before applying your artists recommended aftercare lotion. Repeat cleansing process 3-5 times a day until tattoo is healed.

  • When applying aftercare lotion, rub in a thin layer and thoroughly. Apply lotion after each time tattoo is cleansed and as needed for excessive dryness. You may leave the tattoo open to air unless otherwise instructed by your artist.

  • After 3-4 days, you may apply a fragrance free lotion for the remainder of the healing process. Healing time varies from person to person and can take anywhere from 2-4 weeks.

Aftercare Instructions (Saniderm)

  • Your artist has applied a Saniderm Dressing to your tattoo. This dressing should be left in place for the amount of time that your artist recommends (typically 3-5 days). It is normal to see a collection of blood and fluids under the bandage. If the bandage loosens or begins to leak, you may remove the bandage and follow the care instructions below.

  • After the recommended amount of time to wear the bandage has past, you should remove the bandage in the shower SLOWLY and GENTLY under warm water to loosen the adhesive. To remove the bandage, find an edge and pull it back over itself in the direction of hair growth.

  • ** This Product contains an adhesive and may cause allergic reaction in people with adhesive allergies. If allergic reaction occurs, discontinue immediatly and seek medical attention if severe.

  • You may initially experience mild swelling, redness, soreness, and/or weeping at the site of your tattoo, which should improve over time.

  • You should seek medical attention if the tattoo becomes infected. Signs and symptoms of infection may include: fever, increase, in redness and swelling, foul smelling drainage, and increase in pain.

  • Most tattoos go through an "itchy phase" as they heal- do not scratch or pick at your tattoo during this phase. This may affect the healing quality of your tattoo. If excessive itchiness occurs, gently pat the area or try applying lotion.

  • Do NOT soak, swim, or tan during the healing process. These activities may also affect the healing quality of your tattoo.
